Individuals Counselling

Have you experienced a significant change or loss related to health, family, faith/spirituality, work, status, hobbies, or social life? Do you identify as having a sensory sensitivity, mood disorder, personality disorder, developmental disability, or physical disability such as chronic illness? Our counselling approach honours your unique experiences and needs while offering gentle and compassionate support.

Acceptance Commitment Therapy

Does your life feel aimless at times, with no clear path forward? Do the same painful thoughts and feelings keep hooking you in? Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) tells us we can’t wait to feel good and ready before taking steps towards a meaningful life. Rather, we must learn how to make room for life’s challenges, change our relationship to our painful thoughts and feelings, and engage our values. ACT is a great starting point in therapy, as it builds practical skills and gets you in touch with what a rich, full, meaningful looks like for you.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting is helpful for getting beyond traditional talk therapy and engaging the body and nervous system. Brainspotting is a gentle, focused mind–body therapy that helps you process trauma, stress, and emotional blocks by accessing where they’re held in the brain. Using eye position and mindful attunement, we work at your pace to release what feels stuck so you can experience greater clarity, calm, and lasting change.

Internal Family Systems

Do you have a strong inner critic or carry painful emotional burdens such as shame, fear, or loneliness? Are there ‘parts’ within you that sometimes feel at war with each other? One moment you are managing well in life then, something happens, and you are back to familiar and unhelpful patterns of behaviour or coping? Internal Family Systems is a compassionate approach that uncovers the root causes of your struggles and empowers you to make lasting changes by transforming the relationships between your parts.

Somatic Experiencing

Have you sought traditional talk therapy but found little relief? Sometimes, our dilemmas or symptoms require more than just a cognitive reframe. When our symptoms stem from a physiological or nervous system state, we need a body-oriented therapeutic model for healing. Somatic Experiencing is a gentle, yet effective, approach to healing trauma and stress disorders.
